Conflict Minerals Certification

Allesco Industries, Inc. and its subsidiaries including Alloy Fasteners have reviewed the requirements of the current ‘Conflict Minerals’ legislation passed in May of 2010 and promulgated for adherence January 2013. This Act imposes Securities and Exchange Commission reporting guidelines relating to the ‘Conflict Minerals’ defined as coltan, niobium, tantalum, tin, gold, tungsten and their derivatives when applicable.

The Act requires sourcing personnel to confirm with their supply chain partners that if these materials are being used in the manufacturing of the products, they not be derived from the DRC; Democratic Republic of Congo. The reason for this sourcing preclusion is due to the human rights violations of this area of the world. Key suppliers are to ensure that they do not source these metals from mines in the DRC or adjoining countries.

If you require any additional assistance regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
